Privacy policy
Last updated November 2, 2026
This policy covers Snapline Appraisal, a trade name of Farrow LLC, Durham, North Carolina ("we", "us").
What we collect
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Vehicle details, including the VIN
- The insurer and the claim number
- Repair invoices and estimates, photos, and letters from the insurer
- Payment status from Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number.
- The messages you send us
Why we collect it
To prepare your appraisal, to talk with you about it, to bill for it, to keep the records we're required to keep, and to meet our legal duties.
We may send you occasional email about our services. Each email has a link to stop them.
Who we share it with
- Service providers who host our systems, send email, process payments, and supply vehicle-history and market data, only as needed for those services
- An insurer or a lawyer, only when you send it to them or ask us to
- If you ask us to serve as your appraiser in North Carolina's appraisal process, we share what that process needs with the insurer, its appraiser and the umpire.
- Others when the law requires it
We never share your information with any other company for its marketing, including companies with common ownership.
How long we keep it
We keep your appraisal file for five years after we deliver your report, or longer if the law requires it. If you send us documents for a free check and don't place an order, we delete them three years after your accident, or sooner if you ask. After that, we delete your information or remove what identifies you. We may keep information that no longer identifies you, such as vehicle and market data, to improve our appraisals.
How we protect it
We keep your information under a written information security program.
